This Privacy Policy describes how Apna Home (“we”, “our”, “us”) collects, uses, discloses and protects your information when you use our mobile application and related services (the “App” or “Service”).
By installing, accessing or using Apna Home, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our App.

1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide to Us
When you use Apna Home, you may provide us with:
- Account details: Your name, email address, mobile number, password or other login credentials.
- Profile information: Profile photo, preferred location, property preferences, and other details you choose to share.
- Property details: Information about real estate properties you list or enquire about, including approximate address, price, photos, videos and descriptions.
- Communication content: Messages, enquiries, reviews, feedback and support communications sent via the App or by email.
- Payment & subscription data: Limited transactional information such as order ID, subscription status, payment status and purchase history (we do not store full card or UPI details).
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the App, we automatically collect certain technical information:
- Device information: Device model, operating system, app version, language and time zone.
- Log and usage data: IP address, pages/screens visited, buttons clicked, features used, time and date of usage, crash logs and performance data.
- Advertising identifiers: Mobile advertising ID (e.g. Google Advertising ID) used for analytics and advertising (see Advertising & Payments).
- Local storage data: Preferences and cached data stored locally on your device to improve speed and offline experience.
1.3 Location Information
With your permission, we may collect approximate or precise location information to:
- Show nearby properties and relevant real estate listings.
- Provide map-based search and navigation features.
- Improve localised content and recommendations.
You can disable location access at any time in your device settings, but some features of the App may not function properly without it.
1.4 Media, Files & Audio
When you upload content or use certain features, the App may access:
- Photos, videos and files on your device (for property photos, documents, etc.).
- Audio input from your microphone if you use voice notes or audio-related features.
2. Permissions We Use
Apna Home requests certain device permissions to provide core features. We do not use these permissions to access data beyond what is necessary for the functioning of the App.
2.1 Internet & Network

Used to connect to our servers, load property listings, authenticate users, play media content and display online maps and ads.
2.2 Location Permissions

Used to show nearby properties, enable map-based search and improve the relevance of property recommendations. Location is only accessed with your explicit consent and can be turned off in device settings.
2.3 Storage & Media

Used to allow you to select and upload property media (photos, videos, documents) and handle media-related features. We do not modify or delete your files without your direct action.
2.4 Microphone

Used for features that involve audio input such as voice messages or audio notes, if and when such functionalities are provided in the App.
2.5 Advertising Identifier
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID
Used to access your device’s advertising ID to serve and measure ads, limit ad frequency, and help prevent fraudulent activity. You can reset or limit ad personalisation in your Google account settings.
2.6 Billing & Purchases
com.android.vending.BILLING
Used to enable in-app purchases or subscriptions via the Google Play Store, such as premium features or listing upgrades. We do not store your full payment credentials on our servers.
2.7 Notifications
On supported Android versions, we may request runtime permission for:

Used to send alerts related to property enquiries, important updates, offers, and reminders. You can control notifications through your device settings at any time.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for various purposes, including:
- To create and manage your account.
- To enable you to browse, create and manage property listings.
- To connect property buyers/tenants with owners/agents.
- To provide search, filters, saved properties and recommendations.
- To send you transactional communications such as OTPs, alerts, confirmations and service-related messages.
- To improve, personalise and expand our App and its features.
- To monitor usage trends, measure performance and fix issues.
- To detect, prevent and address fraud, abuse and security issues.
- To comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.
5. Advertising & Payments
5.1 Advertising & Analytics
Apna Home may display advertisements and use analytics tools provided by third parties (such as Google). These services may use cookies, mobile identifiers and similar technologies to:
- Show relevant or contextual ads.
- Measure ad performance and usage statistics.
- Prevent fraud and abuse.
You can manage your ad personalisation preferences via your device or Google account settings.
5.2 In-App Purchases
If you make purchases or subscriptions through the App (for example, premium listings or features), payments are processed securely by the Google Play Store or other payment gateways. We may receive confirmation of your payment (such as transaction ID, product purchased, amount and status), but we do not store your full card or UPI details on our servers.
6. Data Security & Retention
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer required, we will delete or anonymise it in a reasonable manner.
7. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated personal data, subject to legal or legitimate retention requirements.
- Object to or restrict certain processing activities.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements or for other reasons. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Policy, and may provide additional notice within the App where appropriate. Your continued use of the App after any changes signifies your acceptance of the updated Policy.
